Itach was extreme but he did what he thought was the greater good, protecting the village. Sasuke wanted revenge cuz his clan got killed and then more revenge because the village gave the orders and lied to him the whole time, thats a lil understandable. Madara wants to create peace through genjutsu, once again its this whol greater good thing and ill give you a pass. Obito, you got friendzoned so now you want to destroy the world cuz kakashi got to second base(chidori through chest) before you did.Did you even look at the other girls in the village..no you chose to stay with a strange old man and become a terrorist. When obito said this was his reason, i just wanted to become a hyuga so i could just ultimate face palm myself. Obito was one of the dissapointments to me in this series.

Re: Out of all the emo Uchia you are the worst Obito

Ah ah ah... Remember, it's in their nature to be batshit crazy.

Very sensitive people, those Uchihas are.

You cannot be calling Uchiha's emo, that is character bashing. I hope your punishment will not be too harsh, as I think you are a funny member.
Not anymore it isn't. Chapter 619 confirmed it to be fact. So somebody taking the extreme of the word sensitive and saying "emo" is about the same as calling a character that you don't like fodder.

Obito has quite a good reasoning. He loses a loved one and notices that people everywhere suffer this pain - he therefore wants to make change. I don't understand what is wrong with that? Like Nagato, Sasuke, Madara and Orochimaru, Obito is "evil" because he lost his loved one (Rin) like Nagato lost Yahiko, like Sasuke lost Itachi and the Clan, like Madara lost his family, like Orochimaru lost his parents. He isn't "emo" or whatnot, he is a great and complex character. Just because he isn't black and white and easy to understand doesn't make him a bad character design.

Re: Out of all the emo Uchia you are the worst Obito

the thread title is character bashing
That's not character bashing at all or in any way. He's simply stating an opinion on the character's motives. Now, had he said, "Obito is a complete idiot." then yes, that would have been character bashing. There's not even an underlying insult there, all he's saying is exactly what was stated. He's simply saying that Obito didn't have a good reason for what he's doing. Tell me, how is that bashing on the character?

I understand what you're saying but this was like one of those "wtf really?" moments for me. He didnt even want to find out why kakashi did it it could have changed his mind like when sasuke asked itachi why he did and ultimately it lead him to change his mind. Obito was like screw it she's dead screw the world yunno what i mean?

Well I think what Kishi is aiming for is the difference in perspective between Naruto and Obito. Naruto wishes to achieve a world of true peace while Obito has given up on the world because of what he's seen. This is key here; Obito seemed to be pretty dang similar to Naruto but turned out with a different point of view. The fact that his best friend killed his teammate (the same person who swore to protect her while Obito was at death's door), destroyed his trust in bonds apparently. My personal theory is that behind the hidden mist masks, there was a konoha headband (or implied to be one) which could have destroyed his trust in the Leaf further. Meanwhile, Madara was talking about creating a world where people don't have to go through the kind of hatred, betrayal, and sorrow that Obito had just experienced... and thus he comes back to his influence. Being "friendzoned" really didn't have anything to do about it, or he would have turned evil a longgg time ago. Reviving Rin is what he gets out of the world he wishes to make but supposedly he wants to ditch the current world for a virtual one.
