Obito couldn't have become Hokage

Obito is my third favourite character in the series, (after Naruto and Kakashi) but in all fairness he couldn't have become hokage. Sure he would have eventually reached around kage level, via the teachings of Minato, but as long as Danzo and the elders were watching over Konoha, the idea of a Uchiha becoming Hokage was strictly prohibited.

I def agree they would be against it, but if he came up the same way as Naruto constantly proving himself better than what they conceive, they would've had to reconsider. Especially being aware of Hashi's foundation of the village.

He would definitely be an influential voice in the uchiha clan. He had the ideals of naruto so he would've definitely done something to try & stop the coup. Assuming he awoke his MS miraculously then he would most likely use his power for the sake of konoha & for that determination he probably wouldnt be hokage but he may have been awarded the title of uchiha clan leader O_O

If he had made it in time to "save" Rin and then returned to the leaf he would be immediately interrogated about Madara and probably would of stopped Itachi.

Madara loves to spew bullshit about how the "system is against the Uchiha" but its their own damn fault they got slaughtered. They should have known better then to conduct a coup d'état just because their own kind weren't Hokage. Clearly knowing the Uchiha the only viable candidates were Itachi, Shisui, and Obito (pre-insanity) and if Obito hadn't done what he did then I'd say Obito was a possible candidate right after Minato if he was able to reach a Hokage level without his improvements from Madara. Naruto is said to be Obito's past will reincarnated and he is said to be a Hokage candidate so clearly the past Obito is one as well. At the end of the day, Obito could've been Hokage.

That's a very good point. The Uchiha did kind of bring it upon themselves but Danzo came to a rash conclusion.

I don't think he would kill Itachi, he would try to persuade the Uchiha to stop and Itachi would not have to go through all of that
