Ok I am not one to believe the stupid obito theories but there is a chance that he survived the bridge incident but if and I mean if tobi's sharingan is in fact obitos left eye then obito may have learnt the ability of time space justu where his crushed body could infact be in the other dimension. Saying that his eyes still may have been stolen by a ninja witnessing the jutsu and stealing it from the body of obito.

Yes but if his left eye is tobi's he has the same abilities where his body can be unharmed so the boulders would have no effect, but during unlocking the ability he was scarf and gave his other sharingan to kakashi, or he got turned into zetsu.

There is no was he could have know it possed the space time jutsu at this point. He had literally just unlocked his sharingan. It did not have any MS abilities at this point so it is not possible to know what it could do. That is of course, unless there is some eye ability inheritance we havent learned about yet and abilities of his father we do not know

Just to clarify obito is not tobi due to the previous manga where tobi advised that he found the sharingan at the bridge.

I agree he was weak but all sharingans have abilities so he may very well have unlocked it when he earnt his sharingan, but when he got crushed he did not understand the ability and was fearing the worst.
