I seriously doubt that the 'red-hair-turns-white' is a necessary requirement for the Rinne Tensei no Jutsu.
I feel that Obito didn't need anything from Nagato's corpse other than the Rinnegan.
When hair turns white, it is merely a sign indicating the depletion of life-force. I wouldn't feel comfortable proposing that Uzumaki DNA was required for Rinne Tensei.
It appears to me that Obito was being forced to drain his life-force and chakra reserves in order to perform Rinne Tensei, that's all.
