This is just a random thought I had while reading the chapter on ***********, but what if Obito wants to complete the Moon's Eye Plan to see Rin again; look at what Zetsu says:

You must be registered for see images

I myself don't believe that is the reason, but I wanted to see what everyone else thinks.

On a side note, now we know why Zetsu always calls Obito a good boy.
