Well, OFC IT MATTERS. Like seriously, it does ^^. I predict it was Madara's doing, as in he was monitoring the situation and sent Zetsu to help him "slip" through the boulder. I dunno, it's just WAY too convenient that Obito happened to "slip" into Madara's cave. He's pulling the strings IMO.
