As an Obito fan... I disagree. Obito's not a hero... If anything, he's an anti-hero, because he does bad things to accomplish something 'good'. All the things you mentioned are just coincidental advantages to otherwise terrible actions.

Besides, he himself admitted that he was trash. He's a villain disgusted with his own kind, that's one of the reasons why his character is so intriguing.

I am an Obito fan but he is not a hero. He is an Anti-Hero basically - similar to Danzo and Nagato, he had/has good intentions but his actions to achieve it are far from acceptable. If Naruto saves the world from Jubi, is Obito a hero for summoning it? No, that logic is flawed so no he is an Anti-Heri at best.

danzo and pain are villains, out and out. they are willing to commit unnecessarily cruel and cold blooded murder for their goals.

He is not a hero in our eyes, but he is a savior in his own eyes. He killed thousands of people to accomplish 'peace', I don't know but that's not really heroic.
