Bashing Obama won't change the fact that barring gay ppl from joining Boy Scouts is blatant discrimination. Some of you are focusing on the wrong parts of this articles. Being rejected like that can have long lasting effects on kids.

Also, don't assume gay ppl are automatically pedophiles. If that's the case, then your sons are just as unsafe with their female teachers who are attracted to males.

Then should they ban straight people too? That's injustice. Not saying that's what you're saying, but you can't ban gay people because of the assumption gay people are apparently pedos or they might "spread their disease" as some stupid people would call it. That logic is stupid.

I'm in full support of this. It's wrong and against basic human rights to say otherwise. "You can't do this BECAUSE YOU'RE GAY." That's the worst reasoning ever.

Anyway, it's good that he wants the ban to be lifted. It's ridiculous to have such a ban. What do they think that will happen if it's allowed? An orgy? *shakes head*
I wonder how the scouts here look towards this. Maybe I should ask a classmate of mine if she knows more about it.

That's a victory for civil rights. To the people on this thread stop being so intolerant. Homosexuals aren't more inclined to be pedophilles than heterosexuals. Women are attracted to men too do you think there would be a lot of rape if a woman mentored Boy Scouts? If anything banning homosexuals would make rapes in scouting programs more prevalent. It would cause homosexual men and women to lie about themselves, feel ashamed and possibly lead them to hurting someone. If gay people can openly join its easier to catch predators it in essence takes the sheeps wool off of possible wolves. Gay people deserve equal treatment.

I don't see much of a problem. Its perfectly fine I guess. I'm not the kind of person to hold back progressiveness and I myself am a moderate liberal. So honestly go for it. As far as Obama goes I couldn't give 2 ****s what he thinks. He is catering to the homosexuals for votes and popularity. And the scouts are taking this too far and blowing it out of proportion.

At the same time I will also say this. I'm not the kind of person to be so open minded and liberal to let my brain fall out of my head either
