( Raiton: Purazuma Bōru ) - Lightning Release: Plasma Ball
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Defence
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20 (-5 per turn active)
Damage points: 40
Description: The user manipulating their chakra generates a plasma barrier around them to serve as a defence which protects them from incoming attacks, even from something as wide-ranged as the Quicksand Waterfall Flow. However the user cannot use other techniques besides lightning release or physical based techniques while sustaining the technique. The user can rush at their opponents even if the barrier is active and use it to ram against them. The shield can be used offensively, by discharging the electricity in the direction of their choice in a wave resulting in using the energy of the barrier and ending its effects.
Note: Technique remains active for 3 turns.
Now, this is a unique one. Plasma, as you know, is a fourth state of matter. It's neither solid, liquid or gas. You gather your Lightning chakra and use your chakra to convert it into plasma, giving it the shape of a barrier. This acts as a great defense, protecting you from even widespread attacks like Quicksand Waterfall Flow. I'm pretty sure you're familiar with that jutsu, since I remember you having Sand training. The drawbacks are that while sustaining the barrier, you can't use any other techs other than Lightning or Taijutsu techniques, and it drains 5 chakra points every turn to maintain it. You need to focus chakra, in order to maintain the barrier. You can run towards your opponents and ram the barrier into them, which would electrocute them, or additionally manipulate the electricity within the barrier to discharge it as a wave. But, using it this way causes the energy within the barrier to be dissipated and the technique ends. Has a short range limitation, which is okayish.
(Raiton: Jūrokuchū Shibari) – Lightning Release: Sixteen-Pillar Bind
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short – Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: After performing the needed hand seals Rat → Monkey → Horse → Tiger the user will create a even more powerful version of Lightning Release: Four Pillar Bind. Using this technique, the user creates sixteen giant pillars by using his lightning chakra to shape the ground into a multitude of pillars, which then form a giant cubic oven to trap the enemy. It is often used after Earth Release: Mud Fall to cover the enemy target in mud and then follow up with using Fire release: Firing Biscuit, creating flames in the oven to roast and harden the mud, immobilizing the enemy.
A canon technique. This was used on Pein's Giant Dogs. After weaving some handseals, you follow the same procedure as the Four Pillar Bind, sending your Lightning chakra into the Earth, forcefully shaping it into 16 pillars, which form an oven like shape, encasing the target inside. This itself doesn't do anything by itself, but you can follow up with Fire Release: Firing Biscuit Technique and Earth Release: Sticky Earth Drop to harden the sticky mud and roast the opponent inside it. Goes upto long range, so is a pretty great technique. Good to trap summons.
