If you keep up with DBS then you know about the tournament of power that is currently going on. Well here is a fun little question:
If you had to choose 10 fighters from the NV to represent the NV in a tournament of power (with the exact same rules, setting, reward, and immensely high stakes as the tournament in DBS), who would you pick? Note that we are not assuming that the opponents are the actual characters in DBS, so you do not have to consider how (insert shinobi here) would stack up against Goku or any other characters in DBS. This thread is just mainly focusing on your 10 picks themselves (not the opponents that your choices will be fighting).
Now, for those who don't keep up with DBS, allow me to describe the rules and stakes of the tournament:
Rules:
1. The tournament will last for 48 minutes.
2. There will be 8 participating universes in this tournament. Each universe will be represented by 10 fighters from said universe (meaning that there are 80 fighters in total).
3. This tournament is a battle royale, so all 80 fighters are on the ring at the same time. In order to eliminate a fighter, you simply knock them off of the ring. If a fighter collapses while on the ring, you just have to pick them up and throw them out.
4. Killing and weapons are not allowed. This includes healing items as well. Additionally, all flying skills are disabled (unless the fighter has wings).
5. The winning universe will be determined by whichever universe has the most remaining fighters in the ring at the end of the 48 minutes. Alternatively, if it comes down to one fighter left in the ring, then that fighter's universe wins. Don't ask me how ties are resolved because DBS hasn't actually addressed that as of the time this thread was made.
Stakes and Rewards:
1. All losing universes are erased immediately! This means that once the last member of a universe's team gets knocked out of the ring, that entire universe will be wiped out without a trace! The gods, the mortals and everything else will cease to exist. The only thing that will be spared is the universe's angel. Of course this also means that even if a universe goes the distance and has at least one fighter left in the ring at the end of the 48 minutes, if that team's number of survivors does not win the tournament for that universe, then that universe will still lose and be erased as a result.
2. The winning universe gets to survive, and their best fighter will get a wish from the super dragon balls (which can grant any wish).
Those are the rules, stakes and rewards, so pick your fighters carefully. For the sake of this thread, don't worry about who is dead canonically, and who is not. Even though I am imagining that this tournament is taking place during the era of Boruto's generation, you can still pick people like Madara on the premise that edo tensei fighters can be used. After all, canonically in DBS, universe 7 is using Frieza who is already dead, so the same can be done here.
I am adding a few restrictions:
1. We are taking away the concept of edos having unlimited chakara and regeneration. They will have the same chakara limits that they had in life (just as Frieza has the same ki limitations, being dead doesn't give him unlimited ki or regeneration).
2. You are limited to 1 Otsutsuki. This is because it would be boring to see a bunch of lists that are nearly comprised entirely of Otsutsuki.
3. Shinobi are allowed to use summons, and jinchuuriki are allowed to use their bijuus. Aburame can use their bugs and Inuzuka can use their dogs, etc...
However...
4. Edo tensei can not actually be used as a technique during the tournament itself. In other words, you could do something like revive Madara before the tournament if it is for the sake of choosing Madara as one of your 10 fighters. However, you can not choose Kabuto as a fighter, and then midway through the tournament, have Kabuto revive someone. All edos used must have been revived before hand, and chosen as one of the 10 fighters.
As a bonus question: Who do you think would be the best fighter on your team and what should they wish for if your team won?
