hard to say they're both undefeated. also it pierces ALL is something that was said about it. the mist swords are basically god swords. I would say if they met it would crack the shield and then be repelled. that would make up for the plot hole. just because you can repel anything doesnt mean you cant be touched or even surpassed first.
