Narutos punch lead to Toneri accidentally deactivating his tenseigan mode, Hinata then took his eyes which was the source of his power, even then Toneri was about to blow up the earth and himself but Naruto managed to TnJ him

Naruto didn't even transform into any of his chakra modes until the very end of the movie despite being able to easily deal with earlier situations with that power. The same thing happened in Road to ninja, he only uses sennin mode, and after getting beaten he tells kurama it's time to use KCM.

RTN is not canon and he didnt have control of Kurama, that was some genjustu power up that wasnt real.

Does it matter if RTN is canon or not? It's more like consistent movie logic, and naruto had KCM he said he was going to use it after getting beaten in sennin mode.
