The point of the matter is that Preta can reduce naruto to utter base. Without intent to restrain, nagato has no reason to continue subduing naruto. In anycase, Stating Nagato can't absorb an SM Tbb is utterly retarded. 1/7th of his power(preta path) took out 2x naruto's SM. Then we factor in Nagato being an uzumaki with arguably faaaaarrrr more chakra (by feats) than naruto and we see that nagato can absorb a shit load of Naruto's SM based attacks. 1 tbb isn't petrifying anyone. If naruto has enough Sage chakra in him to place into a TBB, nagato easily has enough chakra to take that on.

I dont really think that Nagato has comparable chakra to BM Naruto. BM Naruto had to absorb a sh*tload of natural energy to enter his current mode, Nagato is not going to absorbing that.

Not to mention that like I said, alive, prime and healthy Nagato is fanfiction character. For in-manga alive Nagato Six Paths of Pain were pinnacle of power.

You already know I hypothesize the Rinnegan. It seems like the only thing left and it is to complete the Dichotomy of the Savior (Rikudou) vs Destroyer (Juubi) once and for all. Plus, to re-split the Juubi, you need Yin-Yang release, which is specific to the Rinnegan itself. He needs it (even if it is temporary) to re-split the Juubi and have the original Bijuu resurface. You've read my theory, so you know my hypothesis.
