The article already confirmed it that Hinata is a heiress of the clan.

I thought only men could become clan leaders? That's how history has always done it.

What article?

OT: How did you guys know that Hanabi lost her eyes?

"And what is the sorrowful destiny between the Otsutsuki clan and Hinata’s Hyuuga clan!?"

It said Hinata's meaning her specifically as a leader of the clan.

The article said it's rumor , but most of scan were confirmed stuff in the last chapter and the movie which mean it's safe to assume all of the photos are confirmed

Hanabi is, Hinata was too weak to lead the Hyuuga. By their standards she's a fodder defect.

Hinata's kindness was the main reason why her father neglected her and made Hanabi the heiress, of course her strength was inferior compared to her sister too, a lot could had happened in two years, so things could have changed, but I still doubt Hinata is the heiress even then U_U

i think Hinata is still the heiress, her father changed and recognized how strong she is before the war imo, also they probably stopped the seal crap too.

Hanabi loses her eyes forever?
I have seen pictures of her with bandages around her eyes (in this thread as well) but where is it written that she loses her eyes forever?

Rumor and speculation, but likely. She powered up during the war and far surpassed Hanabi, who early was tagged by her father as successor because Hinata did not look at that time like she was going to step up. Fast forward to current events and clearly Hinata has surpassed even her father's expectations (reference battlefield scene some 100 chapters ago).

So logical that a capable oldest would succeed.

Clan leader Hiashi has two daughters, no sons. Meaning that Hinata is first in line for the position of clan leader.
