You have to change your profile privacy to VMs only being visible to friends and contacts for it to work I think. Should be somewhere around the User CP.

Why would you block someone ?

solving the problem is better than avoiding it.

Blocked Member ? You mean the user you have added to the Ignore List ?Even if you added the user to the Ignore List, you will still get a notification from that user. You can remove the user from your friends & contact list and set your profile for friends only.

Go to Usercp>>Profile Privacy>>Visitor Messages>>Your Friends

You can also do the same for not getting PM by editing General settings under Usercp.

Incase if you are wondering where to unfriend the users you wished for....Go to this link bellow

I think Knightflame said it better than me.lol
In short you can't block the VM from member even if he is in 'ignore list', since it is only limited to posts.
But you can either remove him/her from friend list or simply report his/here VMs to mods.

I see .... I dont mind the VM just the notification
I didn't want to restrict VMs to friends only .

Alternatively, you can add said member(s) to your ignore list and set your VM privacy to "Registered Members", and doing so will block everybody you may have in your ignore list (and only them) as if your settings were set to friends only.
