Chapter 689: "I Like You"
This chapter I really tried to push the envelope on how much bullshit I could produce in a single chapter.
So Let me give you a run down on how the process went.
Kaguya
This chapter, I had to strip her power and ignore a lot of the abilities she has. I wanted to give my goddess personality so I made her panic.
Sasuke
Sasuke was a difficult one. After Sasuke's words to his team in previous chapters I felt he was being a ****, so I made sure that he would require everyone's help and never actually land a clan hit on Kaguya. He was already trampled with the new ability I gave Kakashi. Topping that would require something unheard of. Making Sakura Haruno useful in a major fight.
Sakura
Sakura Haruno, my main heroine of the series. This chapter I wanted to put emphasis on how useful Sakura could be. It was rather difficult to give Sakura any role in Kakashi's plan as she's normally a non factor in major fights. So in the end I opted to make her fall on Kaguya, slightly damaging her for extra measure.
I did not expect her fans to celebrate someone who usefulness in the plan was to fall on someone. But I can chalk that up as a win-win.
Naruto
These chapters I really wanted to make Naruto grandstand. To ensure that I made sure he saved everyone multiple times and fight Kaguya with no issues. To drive it home, I made sure Sasuke's Susanoo was destroyed in every panel he clashed Kaguya to make Naruto look better in comparison. Then to layer it on I made Naruto shout how better Kakashi's Susanoo was in front of Sasuke.
Kakashi
This one had to be my favorite. I had to make a man who power made him less irrelevant than my heroine; Into a total badass. I had to give him the works. I gave him a Susanoo identical to Sasuke. I gave him neat Shuriken that Warmholes anything that comes into contact with them. Then I made sure he landed a hit on Kaguya with relative ease. To make sure he didn't outshine Naruto I made him say something incredibly awkward at the end.
I was inspired by a episode of DBZ where trunks and Vegeta were training*. I wanted to make Kakashi's power be incredibly easy to gain without the pesky need to go through traumatic events that made Sasuke and other uchiha's great. I honestly do not think I could of handled it any better.
