note book vs chrome book

So my parents told me I could get a new laptop or something like a laptop but I need help deciding which is better... A notebook or chromebook??


I will mainly using it to browse the Web and watch films and do some studying so which is more suitable??

And my budget is £250 maximum

A chrome book is something you get for a grandparent to teach them about the internet basically. It only does basic things, very basic things. A notebook does so much more. A notebook has windows, a chromebook is extremely limited.

Get a notebook.
A chromebook is just google chrome on top of Linux kernel with basic functionalities,and chromebooks does not come with HDDs typically they have 16GB SSDs and you will be needing high speed internet connection for all the cloud services.
