This is not my idea but it really does seem to make the most sense, when tenten was looking at the scroll with the sage's sealing tools inside, at the same time Madara Ripped his head band off and threw it. as shown on scan

he percied the part right were the crimson guard was. since the head band is part of Kaygua in some aspects she released part of her spirit and it flew right to BZ.2.0
As i stated not my own idea but the member stated along the lines of kaygua being takin over by evil and the brothers tried to seal her away but she was to strong. Thus only allowing part of kaygua to be sealed away and the other part became one with the GOD TREE. idk if this is right but it made the most sense to me having BZ2.0 stab madara in the back.

on the other hand i feel that the flashback with hashirama and madara showed that madara would be takin down from behind

I made a thread about Kaguya and the Sinju being connected eternally. I think that when Madara absorbed the Sinju, when it was talking to him, that it was Kaguya as well. Once he absorbed it Kaguya then began to take over black Zetsu.
