Not everything is dubstep!

I hate being in a music debate with people that have no idea what they are talking about....It really bothers me mainly cause I have a background in music. I shared some trap music on my facebook and someone swore up and down it was dubstep. I linked this person to a dubstep song and tried to explain the difference between trap and dubstep but this person said the person who uploaded the trap song was wrong because it was dubstep. I even told this person to google trap and dubstep drum samples. Not everything is dubstep....

Classical with a capital C refers to the classical movement of music, in regards to time period. Such as Baroque, Classical, Renaissance, etc.

classical with a lower case C refers to any music outside of pop culture.

I assume trap music is electronic in nature...? If it is, it's similar to the two classicals'.

All dubstep is electronic music, but not all electronic music is dubstep, the same way all Classical music is classical music, but not all classical music is Classical music.

Good points. I think some people assume everything is dubstep because it's so popular but have no idea what dubstep is. All these gernes have elements that make them different like the bpm and drum beat for example.
