Actually, what the OP has stated is a gross oversimplification. Neither side has officially declared war. North Korea has stated that it is in a state of war with South Korea, not the US. As an unnamed US official said, “Describing the situation as akin to war is not to be remotely confused with wanting a war, let alone going to war.”

1) We have been in a 60+ year ceasefire which is still a state of war
2) NK Canceled the ceasefire earlier this month
3) This Declaration of war is 2 days old and no one gave a shit then nor do they now
