The golden trophies are given for very specific reasons, for example they are given to Doug and to Namikaze Naruto for working on the main site.
Also, now every contest has its own medal, which will distinguish the winners.
We just added some RP awards like for the senseis, and the Random Insanity awards were replaced with new icons.
I really don't see your point.
