She's not dead, she was only sealed lolSamui(aka Juggs) died.
I hope so.She's not dead, she was only sealed lol
There's still hope!
Everybody read the tittle first and then post. Who actually reads the first post on Naurtobase. LolI'm not complaining about it not being dark enough :erm: I was just pointing out how it was more than just 5 people who died in the war.
Edit: Wait, did you even read the description of the thread or you just based off what you said over the title?
I understand that the more important the character the bigger the impact the death will have on that certain arc, but doesn't take away the fact that thousands of people died. You have no reason to care about them of course, but I'm just saying more people died than the ones we have an attachment to. Also personally I prefer Gai to be alive and handicapped and seeing Lee be a better sensei than him than him dying without actually doing his job properly, but that's just how I see it.What really upset people were that some deaths never happened that should have.
Tsunade was cut in two and is still living and breathing......
Gai used 8 gates and was conveniently saved by Naruto just as he was dying.
Because of this, the impact of war doesn't seem all that prevalent.
Sure thousands of shinobi died but we have no attachment to them which is why it never impacted the reader with their deaths and consequentially made the war that much more underwhelming.
Can i briefly comment on that ira? Everyone calls it a kids manga, which the rules on this site reflect... but (at least in the manga stream translation) they say ****, shit, and all other things. there's sexual themes, near nudity, people peeping in bath houses, and general ecchi material. Then there's people dying left and right. Some people get beheaded, some get their arms ripped off.Sikaku, Inoichi, Obito and Neji along with thousands of other shinobies. Although if you want to see deaths that much maybe you shouldn't be reading a manga directed at younger population but move on to sennin or mature ones. It's really pointless to pick a book intended for younger gen and then complain about it not being dark enough for you.

Thank you for doing the mathLets look, we know that by the first night, about half of the alliance was dead. This we KNOW. they had like what? 80,000? So that leaves 40,000. The alliance that was with the kages was just one of the platoons right? I don't know if it was an equal portion, but lets call it 1/4th of the alliance. And literally almost all of them died to the meteor. So we'll go with 30,000. Then they all came together against obito etc. Then we lost probably at LEAST half to the god tree. At LEAST
SO i wanna say less than 15,000. And thats being generous. And of those 15,000 we know that most of them were severely injured.
So yeah, 65,000/80,000 died.
No one complained when Hidan's head was cut off and he was living, breathing and talking. :|What really upset people were that some deaths never happened that should have.

Well you are reading a book written in Japan. Are you sure both countries have exactly the same standard about what's acceptable for kids and what's not?Can i briefly comment on that ira? Where does this whole thing about it being a kid manga come from? i mean i know its easier to just say "this is a family site for a family manga"... but the material in the manga is pretty intense :/
Yeah but Hidan was introduced as a true immortal. No one complained when Hidan's head was cut off and he was living, breathing and talking. :|
Tsunade always said she cannot die in battle. Well she of course is not an immortal but then no one is really immortal. Some of them are just really really hard to kill. Tsunade's power lies in being able to survive a hell lot and helping others in surviving along with herself.
Either way Kishi's style has always been slightly different and more focused on internal conflicts of characters. Using inner struggle of a small number, rather than spreading it across too many insignificant characters, Kishi goes about his theme of how the actions of the previous generations can shape and mold the personalities of the present characters and their future.
I guess he had covered what he wanted to convey with that theme and prolonging it was becoming tiresome for him. It would be fun if he writes some spin offs like Kakashi gaiden to cover other characters but shippuden arc needed an ending.
Anyway back to the OT- killing of your own creation just like that is not easy either. Especially if you may have some plans later on and want to be able to use them.
i agree with this guy, gai sensei should have died after using 8 gates, there´s nothing more he can do to top off what he already did which is great because he was winning against madara jin, throughout all manga i always thought he would die but kishi decided to save him, c´monWhat really upset people were that some deaths never happened that should have.

Let's just disagree. Tsunade was introduced as someone who could not die in a battle that meansYeah but Hidan was introduced as a true immortal.
Tsunade's healing was due to her yin seal rebirth which was already exhausted after the battle, so it makes no sense how she was able to survive with those injuries or even move.
It's not the fact that he didn't kill them, but the fact that he put them in situations where it makes it unbelievable that they even managed to recover.
As for spin-offs, I would have really loved to see a more in-depth history between Ashura and Indra. I love the mythology behind them and I wager that they would make interesting characters.
I don't know about you guys. But when Pain nuked konoha and slashed their population to less than 10% of it's previous numbers. I wasn't going around saying "LOL, no one died from that"

I agree on all points. The manga contained the dead bodies too. It's simply that many people have been paying little attention to the manga panel but rush though it without soaking the scene. The discussions over random panels start hours before the actual chapter release and there is hardly any curiosity to check the chapter but a lot of very vocal people rushing though pages in one and half a minute and hurry to post reactionary threads all over the forum ruining it for many others too.
I would suggest to anyone who really liked to read the manga to take a break for some time and read the war arc in volumes and without checking the forum threads in between. While it may still not be the best written war arc there, it's definitely written much better than many haters claim.
