Takaaki Kajita in Japan & Arthur B. McDonald shares the prize of honour in physics this year. They saw the (lepton) particle , neutrino changing its identity twice on the way from the sun against our planet instead of vanishing on the way . This means they must have a mass, very small but not zero. Neutrinos intereacts with the weak interaction and gravitation not with the strong interaction nor electromagnetsim since it electric charge is neutral .
Those four forces are those fundamental in nature, controls the fate of our universe. Neutrinos since long time ago has been thought to be massless and rivaling the speed of light. These two men found the neutrinos having mass, which is a VERY important discovery. Einstien stated a particle with mass cannot achive speed of light, thus cancels that idea of Neutrinos being rival with the photons. Light cannot be destroyed, since its massless and most of them live for the eternity. When light interacts with atomic scatters its wavelength and momentum changes but not the speed. It also interacts with electromagnetism, since its after all the carrier of that force.
Every second BILLIONS of Neutrinos are passing through our bodies and the earths magnetosphere. As you probably know most Neutrinos are being constantly created in the nuclear chain reaction , others being supernovas , cosmic rays and etc. Three kinds of Neutrinos exists :
muon Neutrinos, electron neutrino , and tau neutrino
well what do you think folks , do you belive now astrophysics will ever unlock the mystery of light speed ?

, lf you havent noticed it yet most of the universe is a distant memory or dust. Since after all we are looking at old things. But apparently light seems to have been slowed down in speed cause of the dark energy accelerating the expansion of this universe. Its annoying me the most just thinking how small we are compared to the universe. And mostly how "new" we are
