It's been debunked already, that last statement means I have given everything to this and I can do no further, in that sense, someone made a thread about it some time ago. Though I still don't think there will be a cannon part 3.

Anyway, a very brief (sort-of) chronological timeline by Mutsumix:

  • Sasuke fights the enemies (whose aim is the truth of Kaguya’s chakra? Sorry, she didn’t really get this part). Apparently a very cool battle, with nice drawings and animation by Yamashita Hiroyuki.
  • Boruto is on a mission with Sarada and Mitsuki. Konohamaru became a cool and handsome teacher.
  • They go to report to the Hokage office. Naruto is being interviewed by a television program (not sure if on TV or in person). Naruto and Boruto don’t get along well.
  • Himawari’s birthday party. Naruto’s clone disappears and lets the cake fall. Boruto gets angry on behalf of his sister.
  • Sasuke comes back to report on Kaguya-related information. He goes to Naruto’s house, but he’s not there. Boruto thinks he’s really cool and looks at him with sparkling eyes.
  • Boruto asks Sasuke to take him as an apprentice - but Sasuke comments that it doesn’t even look like he can make a rasengan, so Boruto asks Konohamaru to teach him the rasengan.
  • Chuunin exams. The first examiner is Sai, who’s blunt like always with his comments. Boruto ‘cheats’ by using a ‘tool’ so that his old man will be impressed. Naruto discovers him and takes away his forehead protector. Boruto cries and tells him that if he looked at him more, he would never have had to use such a method.
  • The enemies attack the examination hall. Thanks to Sakura, Gaara and the gokage the audience is safe - but Naruto gets kidnapped.
  • Sasuke and the gokage head to save Naruto. The fact that they take Boruto with them instead of Sakura or some other high-ranking jounin is pretty weird… but Mutsumix guesses that it can’t be helped, since the movie is about him.
  • A big battle between the enemies and the gokage, Naruto, Sasuke and Boruto. Since ninjutsu doesn’t work against these enemies (because they suck it up), Sasuke fights with a sword. It’s very cool. There are a lot of joint battle scenes with Naruto and Sasuke supporting each other. At the end, thanks to Naruto and Sasuke’s help, Boruto manages to hit the enemies with a rasengan. Happy end!
  • At the end, Boruto doesn’t want to become Hokage - but wants to become like ‘Sasuke occhan’.
  • Sasuke gives Boruto a forehead protector (though Mutsumix is unsure about whose).
  • At the very very end, there is the Orochimaru joke scene where Sarada wonders whether he’s Mitsuki’s father or mother.

A few of her more personal opinions:

  • After the fraud from last year, she went to see the movie with little expectations - but in the end she found it surprisingly fun.
  • All in all, lots of great fight scenes. Fans of Naruto and Sasuke who don’t mind the next generation of Konoha kids should be satisfied - though fans of Kakashi, Yamato or Iruka will probably be a little disappointed.
  • Sasuke gets quite a lot of screentime, but he’s not at the center of the plot like Naruto is… well, that is to be expected, since otherwise he’d probably overshadow him. It would have been nice to see some more of Boruto and Sasuke’s training, just like with Piccolo and Gohan… but they probably couldn’t cram all that much into a 90 minutes movie.

And here are also a few of Min’s personal opinions (though please take into account that Min is one of the most enthusiastic and optimistic person I’ve ever seen, and she hardly ever criticizes anything):

  • She thinks that this movie can be enjoyed by all fans of the original work, and that it feels more authentic to the spirit of the manga than all the other movies (which were total anime originals and felt very much like spinoffs).
  • She kept thanking Matsumoto-god and Yamashita-god for the animation. The fight scenes are apparently amazing, and she hopes that the last part of the manga will be animated just like that.
  • Since Kishimoto was involved, she thinks that the screentime was pretty balanced - and that the characters were pretty true to the original. She didn’t think things like ‘This character would never say such a thing’ like in all the other movies.
  • The Uchiha family and the Uzumaki family both got a few nice scenes, but the happiest fans should be those who like Naruto and Sasuke.
  • She reassures her readers that it’s safe to be excited, lol. (How many times has this poor fandom been burned by the anime staff?)

Well it should have been obvious if you were getting Kishi's text messages. He already left to go do his Mario series so I am not even surprised.
