Madara could use his weakness as an advantage. Like, he can use it as bait. That's his weakness that Hashirama keeps taking advantage of, so he used it to trick him and escape.

This is a very good and interesting observation.

One thing might be to add to the support of this theory, is Madara's kid speech on how he can't trust anyone else because they can't trust him. He doesn't want anyone to stand behind him, literally and metaphorically, because he can't trust anyone, which is likely why he wants to control everyone. To eliminate distrust.

It seems like a theming quality that could be used for both Madara's weakness for defeat, or to redeem his character if Kishi chooses.

But you have to admit, this was really good and you didn't have to say much! You let the scans speak for you. This theory not only makes sense, it explains its point without being difficult to understand. It's also a plus that you are kind to those who disagree or agree.
