Re-thinking back to Kakashi's words concerning tsukuyomi, i questioned myself about something.
1- If Tsukuyomi really affects you in an instant, how do you even break the thing(skilled Sharingan user or not)?
Because the time you take to notice the genjutsu and attempt to break it, the instant second of tsukuyomi already took effect right?
It's even what Kakashi said in the viz translation
It doesn't matter if you can defeat the genjutsu or not. Because it affects you in an instant, not even leaving you a room to break it
Before some people give me the Sasuke example, let me tell you something. Itachi can control the length of his tsukuyomi
He explained it while formulating a plan to defeat Kabuto
1- We'll start by casting tsukuyomi on him to figure out the jutsu
2- While still under the nightmare real(tsukuyomi), i'll manipulate him into undoing the jutsu
Notice he mentions he does all that while Kabuto is still inside his tsukuyomi. This shows Itachi can indeed control the length of his tsukuyomi
Another example is the fight against Sasuke. Notice that while Sasuke was under Tsukuyomi, we see Zetsu on the same page concerned about something happening
If Zetsu had time to notice something while tsukuyomi was active, it shows the tsukuyomi Itachi used against Sasuke wasn't instant. Most likely he prolonged the effect in order for Sasuke to have time to break it. After all, he never wanted to defeat Sasuke in that fight, more like the contrary
Conclusion
1- Tsukuyomi can only be broken if Itachi prolongs the effect for more than an instant
2- If Itachi uses tsukuyomi the time of an instant in the real world, no one can break it
