This news literally made my eyes water. Im so damn happy to know that after the Anbu arc we will have nonstop canon to compliment the Juubi arc. Hopefully this doesn't affect the quality of the animation that we've seen recently. On the flip side of things however, this does kind of mark the beginning of the naruto-apocalypse if the anime if going to be filler-free for 2014. Like the article you linked said, the anime is only 50-somthing chapters behind the manga, so if the studio feels that 2014 be filler free is risk-free, then that can only mean that the manga is most likely going to end towards the end of this year. At the very latest, early 2015. My happiness is gone now. Im sad. Thanks for the post. As*hole.

Awesome. I think this is compensation for the months of fillers in 2013.

50 chapters and they move 2.5-3 chapters a episode=about 20 weeks worth of material. I seriously hope they stretch things out some for when they return to cannon material. Show more during the Hokage's talking to Sasuke or stretch out some of the fights. Great for pacing reasons.

That said, if Kishi is going to end it sometime this year, then it makes sense for the anime to wrap sometime in 2015. Just hope they make this Anbu arc one of the better fillers of Naruto, 5-6 episodes should do it justice.

Imagine that every episode is going going to be like the double episode from last week and the one from next week
5% canon and 95% recaps. If that happens, I'll stop watching the anime all in all lol.
