Why did we get FT yesterday though if they are on break..they got too many breaks and Oda taking breaks on his own..while FT doing duo-chaps for a month again.I cant even recall the last time i saw OP/Bleach duo-chapter.

Do you really think Oda takes the breaks ? If so where are Naruto and Bleach ? Did all the mangaka decide to go on vacation together or do you think this could be a scheduled break from the magazine ?
You could've known this if you simply googled it. Release dates are no secret, yet everyone is surprised when there is a break for whatever reason.
Well what sucks is Luffy says Gear 4th than next week no manga then that following week we see Gear 4 then next week no manga. You wish Oda wouldn't have taken his week off when he knew all of Shonen Jump would be off.
And add in the fact in this over 2 year arc Oda has been on break for literally 6 months of it. I'm not saying he didn't deserve the rest or anything it just gets frustrating especially when your wanting this insanely long arc to wrap up so we can see what's next.

People complaining about the breaks, yeah he is kinda going overboard with breaks. I think if he is really that over-worked he should take a long Hiatus like HxH.
Yeah sorry,i did think FT wasnt in SJ but i wasnt sure and i dont remember checking,but even if it isnt,Oda takes way too many breaks as you said he should get a couple of weeks or a month long break to relax and recuperate a bit if he is that overworked,cus atm its like a break every other week which is a lot more annoying than simply saying he is taking a break for 1 month for his health.Also he never does duo-chapters or atleast hasnt done so in a looong time even when there might have been reasons to do so,for that i love FT with its FT apreciation month of duo-chaps. :yayy:

It's the same for Golden week, Christmas, THIS week etc. So don't act all surprised when it's Thursday and you just refresh your browser on your favorite manga pirating site only to bit<h on a forum that some guy in Japan is taking breaks, while you know nothing.
Oda and most mangaka already have around 6 finished chapters on the shelf ready to be published in case of emergency so that the normal schedule can continue when he breaks his hand or something along the line. It's mandatory. It's not like he is taking a break and is leaving the current chapter half unfinished on his desk while sipping Mojito's on Fiji.
You're complaining about Dressrosa being wrapped up, but Dressrosa's end is probably already at the publisher in a vault waiting to be released ON SCHEDULE !
By this time you should've noticed that One Piece is a rather big franchise, so every week it goes on, money is made. And if the can add 10 breaks a year and do that for 5 years, that would add another year to One Piece and more money to the pockets of the people who run it.
But to get the most annoying thing out of the way, while you're nagging about Oda taking breaks, he is working his balls off just to finish something you rip of the internet for free.
He sacrifices his nights and family time just to satisfy you're weekly dose of manga. This is a quote from an interview not so long ago. Just let it haunt through your head next time you're reading a chapter.\

So to sum it up, If the magazine is on a break, Oda is still working. And second don't compare Fairy Tail to One Piece. Just pick a random three panels and compare them.
Hiro is the master of white backgrounds and simplistic characters, Oda likes to add detail to everything.
So your trying to say for the past 5 years the fact Oda breaks about once every four chapters when there isn't some kind of holiday is the scheduling fault? When Naruto and Bleach and many other SJ series take maybe a quarter amount of the breaks?
Look I understand that SJ goes on break for Holidays and that's why this week there is no chapters and I'm not saying Oda doesn't deserve those breaks I know he was sick for awhile and I'm sure he wants more time with his family and that's fine. I'm just saying One Piece is on break a lot.

I use facts, you use bullshit.
It's around 1 break every 6 chapters not 1 on 4 on average. Besides Op, Bleach and Naruto are pretty much linked. I only can recall a few instances where Op didn't come out and Naruto and Bleach did. Even so, you're talking about a few times a year.
And what you still don't seem to get is that Oda is not on break, he is still working as you're still complaining here for your unpaid 18 pages of manga.

Edit: There are guys here who think Oda is the only person in the world who actually works. Everyone in this world works for a living, there are people who drive Trucks for almost 36 hours non stop, then a day's sleep and they get back to the same 36 hour drive. And they get peanuts for that. And on top of that, they are even reprimanded for delays by their boss. So don't go crying on forums about he is working so much and shit, unless you have actually travelled the world and seen the worst, the world has to do to earn a living.
Most of the African and Asian countries hardly have money to go for education, let alone buy manga. And it's not like everyone is a freeloader, every fan buys the manga volumes as and when he has the money.
So stop spouting that stupid shit, saying everyone here should be god praising oda because he entertains us for free and thus don't have right to criticize.
Well the hard fact is people pay a crap load of taxes for a better society and environment and they hardly get that. So don't go telling people off for freeloading, because without this freeloading the manga would not have been a world wide phenomenon in the first place. And that means Oda's earnings would have been limited to Japan. So these people should either stop coming to these sites or shut their trap about Oda, who himself hardly ever complains about the work he does.
OK here is some facts for you in a years worth of manga from - Chapters 700 to 739, in 40 Chapters there's 12 breaks not even counting the times where it's multiple weeks in between chapters which there where 2 or 3.
Once was there a break after a 6th chapter. 6 times there was a break after a 4th chapter. 4 times it was after a 2nd chapter then break. Once after 1 chapter.
The Average is in 40 chapters after every 3rd Chapter there's a break. If I added the times there's multiple weeks it comes to after every 2nd chapter then break.
From March 4 2013 to March 3 2014 there where 16 weeks where there was no chapter that's 4 months. If that Average held up that would be 8 months of no chapters in 2 years. & probably that average didn't hold up exactly the same but how far away could it be?
People want to know why this arc seems like it's been going forever that's the reason.
