No kamui is not an ass-pull.

I just noticed the thread saying this is an ass-pull. How is it an ass-pull? It's actually extremely logical. Before, all Obito had to do was drag himself through, which was a very minimal amount of chakra. Now he has to drag the Juubi through with him. It would be similar to Minato teleporting the entirety of Kurama with him, every time he did FTG. His chakra would run out in like 2 teleportations. There's just too much chakra to be moved.

With Rikkubito, every time he moves to his dimension, he has to drag the Juubi there while maintaining enough chakra to make sure the seal stays intact. It's far from an ass-pull and has been explained why teleporting massive amounts of chakra is so draining previously. Don't hate on Kishi. U_U


Some might say, Minato does it with Kurama now. Minato is an edo.

I agree. Every time something doesn't go the way they want it to, or their favorite character gets nerfed for the sake of the plot, they make a big deal about it.

Agreed, the massive energy of the Juubi is just too much for Obito to handle. Even Kakashi with chakra from Kurama was struggling to Kamui the Hachibi, he said it took quite a toll on him.

I'd agree. While initially you'd say HOW?! we should recall two things.


1. When becoming the host...he seemingly Kamui'd the Juubi.

2. He used an irregular sealing method, or one that vastly differs from Naruto's seal.



As such, it's possible the old style seal he used requires him to exist in this world. Remember the Juubi is an embodiment of Natural energy. As such, it would parallel breaking some nature to rake that existence to an alternate dimension.

Alternatively, it could be hazardous to move himself to an alternate dimension where maybe his hosted Juubi spirit conflicts with the now existing Juubi Shell in Kamuiland.

Finally, as an irregular sealing method, the Jinjuriki state may not match Naruto meaning he isn't completely the same (the juubi isn't 100% sealed inside him). In his mind, Obito is connected to some sort of Mokuton goo threads that pulled him apart compared to the inner concious world that Kurama sat in behind bars.

With that thought, it could be he's linked himself up with a subconscious IN the Kamui dimension to where he's suspended like that.

It's not an asspull just slightly too convenient for Naruto.

SM being the only thing that works on Obito. Nobody else but Hashirama having it. Now Kamui is gone (which makes sense in all honesty) but the stage is really being set for Naruto being the only to beat him.

Which I'm aiight with From a technical standpoint, it is pretty logical.
