Could susano'o arrows and swords pierce through Gaara's sand or is it too strong. also would it have any effect if it did?

Gaara already blocked 5 susanoo swords,arrows are a different case,so diverting them would be the best option,unless there is a large amount of sand in the area.

the sand is usually weak to fast piercing attacks. I believe that Susanoo arrows speed with piercing power wont allow Gaara to gather enough sand to block the arrow so that means the arrow would pierce through. In my opinion, the arrow probably has better piercing than chidori so and its thin enough to pierce just one spot!

It depends.
He obviously can't block the Perfect Susanoo's sword.

But he can block every Yasaka Magatama, Totsuka, regular Susanoo swords, etc.

it pierced danzo's weak and incomplete moukton,a rock pillar stopped it,gaara's sand block a drill stronger than tempered steel at 13,so there is your answer.

About speed,if gaara could react to an instant explosion or madara's near instant forest,then he can react to the arrow,not to mention his defence is auto. In some wild case where he can't block the arrow,then he can alter it's trajectory with his sand. Susanoo swords obviously are blocked. Only thing that he can't block is perfect susanoo.

Auto defence is not invincible. Lee was fast enough to get past it, also 2nd Mizukages Jouki Boy was too fast for Gaaras sand.
