It's a shame Kishi ruined most people's perception of Rin with the over abundance of flashbacks.

We don't know how skilled she was as a medic, but we do know she handled the rivalry between her teammates with class and didn't rub her feelings for Kakashi in Obito's face. She also had the guts to sacrifice herself when she knew she posed a threat to Konoha.

She was a respectable female character - one of the better ones imo.
