Do you think that Orochimaru has given Sasuke a pass for assaulting him in his weakened state? Or, is Orochimaru just too weak at the moment to take Sasuke, who has obtained immense growth? Remember, Orochimaru is a cunning snake. He doesn't strike me as a supporting ally, which anyone can trust completely.

i think he knew back then as well.
when sasuke attacked oro, kabuto even said something like "already!?" (or something else that implied that they both knew sasuke was going to do that).
Oro still wants his body...but he's too weak to take it back. they need to go kill somebody for a body for Oro, and then oro will probably try to either stay with that body, or try to get sasukes body.

Yeah, I don't we've seen the last of Oro the 'villain'. His revival is too significant imo.
