All the people who bought a 3DS in the past two years have been completely shunned. Kicked in the balls even. A so called 'New 3DS' experience now in the grasp of gamers come February. To all that I tried to warn in my last thread on this matter and still went out to get a 3DS handheld. Should've listened to BlackB0nd. For those of you who got a 3DS for Christmas. Congrats! You now have a new old 3DS!!!!

It's like owning any type of Apple product. You feel glad because you could afford it but you feel stupid for having bought it.

I can't say I'm glad because people have been scammed and might continue to be in the future if Nintendo pulls any more stunts like this one with the Wii U.

Eh, the original model still plays pokemon fine, which is the only game anyone I know who brought the bloody thing plays, so I'm fine. I mean, I brought the original 3DS model almost four years ago (brought it exactly at launch), so I knew what I was getting into before hand, full knowing Nintendo's crap tendency of this sort of behavior with their last handheld. I think I've gotten my money's worth since that time. Unfortunate for those who just brought or received their handheld this past holiday season though. I'm utterly confused why they didn't just release the bloody new 3DS during the holiday season, unless if cynicism has completely took them over, which, considering some of their recent actions, may very well be the case.

Honestly I'm outraged at this, USA can only get XL and Japan gets accessories, both versions, and then they region lock their Japanese standard version. Insult to injury Nintendo wants to have exclusives for this and supposedly once you move games to the new system, you can't move them back to the old. I only wanted a c stick but I'm not happy with this.

Agree it's a insult to all their fans. Buying this system just for a bigger screeb or a c stick isn't gonna cut it. They say it also has better hardware inside but then that just brings up the question everyone else is asking. Why didn't you just release this system from the get go?

We only get XL because Japan doesn't have 2DS... The one japan gets is awesome though because you can change the face plates

Meh, not like the "old" not going to play 3ds games.
And I hardly use the 3d feature any ways.
Nor do I care for the improved 3d face tracking and ZL and ZR buttons.
Though when tax returns role around I might buy it just for my collection along with two new hd tv.

Nintendo is known for their money grabs. Heck majority of their games are roughly the same, we'll their successful games.
