right, what is ninjutsu, why is it useful to shinobi and what exactly does it involve?

Ninjutsu is one of the three basic types of jutsu; ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu. Of the three, ninjutsu is one of the two that utilizes chakra to assalt one's opponent, and ninjutsu is the only one of those two who can directly harm an opponent in a physical manner. Ninjutsu can be sub-divided into different catagories; elemental ninjutsu, sealing ninjutsu, forbidden ninjutsu, summoning ninjutsu, ect. The type of ninjutsu we will be dealing with is the ninjutsu that cannot be subdivided into such catagories, and therefore are merely labbled, 'ninjutsu'.

Ninjutsu is useful to shinobi because it provides a unique form of attack or defence. While taijutsu uses physical attacks with the users body, and genjutsu assaults the opponents mind, ninjutsu uses chakra to attack one's opponent with a technique more powerful than a punch or a kick, and more direclty damaging than tourchering people inside their own minds. Ninjutsu manipulates chakra into useful forms to either attack or defend against one's opponent, in order to create a stronger offence/defence to aide the user greatly in battle.

Ninjutsu involves manipulating chakra within your body into a usable form, and then exerting the chakra into the outside the world to create an offence or defence stronger than most natural attacks or defences. If one's chakra control is poor, they will end up manipulating more chakra to use the same jutsu as someone with great chakra control, and thus will run out of chakra and tire themselves out quicker.

I made these up off the top of my head. If you want me to re-do it because it was 'unsatisfactory', I will oblige.

right first things first.. non elemental chakra control..

- leads you to a small lake-

i want you to try walking on the water.. to do this, you must mould your chakra, mixing the yin and yang energies and channel the chakra to your feet, you must then constantly alter the balance of chakra in your feet to match the ebb and flow of the water..

Alright.
*I clasp my hands together, and I begin to feel and shape the chakra inside me. The yin and yang halves of my chakra spiral within my chakra networks, and as they begin to mix, I send the mixture down into my feet. Then, I take a step out onto the water, sending chakra down into the water to give more buoyancy to balance out my weight against the water. Then, I take another step onto the water, forcing out more chakra so I can keep my buoyancy at a level where I'm standing on the water.
As the small ripples of the water begin to flow under my feet, I readjust how much chakra I'm exerting so my feet remain level atop the waterโ€™s surface. I stand still on the water, focusing on my chakra exertion as the water flows beneath my feet, trying my best to not fall into the water. As I become comfortable with my chakra exertion and the small waves of the water, I attempt molding more chakra while exerting it so I can remain on the surface for a longer period of time.*

Was that satisfactory, sensei?

thats very good, well done ^_^

right, now for this first technique you need to spit chakra propelled needles from your mouth, now there are two ways of doing this, some ninja summon the needles, others have small needles already stored on thier mouth, i'd like you to pick your preference and describe how you perform this..

As I'm not sure how I would summon the needles, I'll just pre-place them in my mouth.
*I take a handful of senbon, and I place it into my mouth, using my tounge to keep them against the roof of my mouth, and out of my throat. Next, I begin to mold chakra within my body, mixing the yin and yang halves, and then I move it through my throat and into my mouth. Then, I use my tounge to create a smaller volume for the chakra to occupy, as to compress it. Then, I lower my tounge quickly, letting the senbon drop and the chakra fly (my mouth opens as I drop my tounge. It would hurt if I didn't. O_O). The chakra flies out of my mouth, pushing the senbon along with it. The unfocused burst of chakra sends the senbon in a cloud as if I was holding them in my palm and tried to throw them (in a dispersed cloud; the power is much more than the example). As the senbon fly, I look up at you.*

How was that, sensei? Do I need to launch them in a more percise mannor? Should I use smaller needles, instead of full-size senbon? Maybe I should just figure out how to summon them instead....

not too bad, though personally, i'd use smaller senbon stored in an artificial capsule in your mouth, or have a summoning tattoo marked in your mouth, and summon them that way.. but that for more advanced shinobi that know fuuin

now, can you tell me how this technique might be useful and atleast one combo you can think of?

This technique could be used as a surprise attack; sending needles at ones opponent through one's mouth, who'd expect that!? (Aside from sensors and dojutsu users. -_-)

Ummm... Combo....

I suppose once I get into short range of my opponent, I could create a Chidori, strike low (to the stomach or something), and then spit needles into my opponents face. That would be fun....

well, if you do what I did, a downside would be swallowing the senbon. xd

but to counter this technique would be easy with a wind jutsu, and would send the senbon straight back towards the user, which would also be a downside. another downside would be, if you don't have one of the summoning tatoo's in your mouth, your opponent would be able to see needles, or a capsule going into your mouth, allowing them to know what's comming, and counter easier than if they had a summoning tatoo

(Fukumi Hari) - Hidden Needles

Rank: D
Type:Attack
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:20
Description: The user is able to call forth needles into their mouth and then spit them at their opponent with great accuracy.

now, i need you to practice pulling out two shuriken and throwing them as one..

Alright. *I open a shuriken holster on my leg, and pull two shuriken to the top of the pile, one on top of the other. Then, I wiggle my fingers, and I turn my body slightly so my left side is further ahead than my right. Then, I drop my hand into the pouch, turning my body at the same time, grabbing both shuriken through the overlapped holes, pulling them out of the pouch and throwing them simultaneously, the momentum of my body adding extra power to the throw. As I threw them, I slide my finger out of the hole in the middle as quickly as possible as to not drag one behind the other.*
Like that?

ok, this time, throw the second one at a lag so it lies in the shadow ow the first one, take into account the position of the sun to calculate where the shadow will fall as you throw

*raises an eyebrow.* Math and physics? My specialty...
*I look up at the sun, using my fingers as an improv protractor, and then I look down at my shadow, judging its height as compared to my height. Then, making mathematical equations in my head, so complex they begin to appear behind me like Shikamaru (xd), and then I feel for a breeze, so I can adjust where to hide the lagging shuriken.
Then, I pull out two shuriken from my pouch, and I turn so my right side is more forewords than my left side, the two shuriken on the same finger via the overlapping holes. Then, I spin, throwing one of the shuriken, followed fractions of seconds by the second shuriken, the angle of the sun masking the second by the firsts shadow, and the breeze affecting the shuriken very little, but the second positioned in a way so the breeze has a minimum possibility of throwing it out of the firsts shadow.*

Was that alright?

complex equation..? its a simple pythagoras triangle calculation... O_O

yea.. well done.. now..
1. advantages/ disagvantages of this technique
2. Name a combo you think is useful
3. How would you counter this technique

It's my equation; I can make it however complicated I want to! xd

1. Advantage: If ones opponent only defends against the visible shuriken, the hidden one will make conatact. Disadvantages: Lots of ways to deflect shuriken will deflect both of them, even if it's unintended (wind jutsu, hitting it downwards with a sword, going around it, even throwing an other shuriken or kunai can deflect the first one down into the second one). Also, if the opponent can redirect the shuriken back at the user, the user will have to defend against two shuriken.

2. UGGG!!!! I've been thinking for over half an hour, and I can't come up with a good one!!! :T_T:

3. In a simmilar way I would defend against single shuriken; use wind jutsu to blow it backwards, or throw a shuriken towards the one comming towards me, either slightly above or below the first shuriken, so either my or my opponent shuriken is delfected into hidden one.

Q&A time: Can I use this jutsu with a barrage of shuriken, and it counts as one jutsu for the turn, or could I only use this a maximum of three times per turn, throwing a maximum of six shuriken?

ok for the combo.. heres a nice sneaky one involving a technique you'll be learning in a bit,

as the counter the first shuriken and the second is revealed, use the shuriken shadow clone tech as a bit of a surprise tactic.

right for this next one..

-creates 3 clones-

Now for this next one, i need you to mould chakra and release it towards my clones, you need to use it to disrupt my clones nervous system, cutting off the brains signals to the limbs, completely paralysing them.

Wait, I'm confused. Do I have to make physical contact with your clones to use the jutsu, or do I send the chakra through the air?

you do not require physical contact
