Eventually someone will create weapons that anybody can use, and armies will be formed with soldiers carrying these weapons. Now people won't have to train for decades on end in "ninja arts" when they can kill people just easily with something like, I dunno, a gun. And then Ninjutsu and Genjutsu will die, and ninjas alongside them......

I don't think ninjutsu will die. If people don't use ninjutsu then someone really good at it like Naruto for example can defeat them.

People like Naruto will die. People will forget about Chakra as long as technology is going as fast as it is. Look at the Samurai. They used swords and Chakra. Then something new and better came along: ninjas. They utilized their Chakra more and replaced the samurai. Now something like guns or "mechs" will come along and replace ninjas. Why spend your whole life learning different ninja techniques when guns and other weapons kill just quickly, if not quicker.

Plus, ninjas would do better against a strong "normal" military than you think. Do you know how hard it would be to shoot a ninja? A few would die I suppose, but once ninja learn our weapons, evading them would be extremely simple. Nukes would work I suppose. Only thing is, you risk killing eveyone.

Yup, the people who can utilize their chakra could somehow make a technology for it.
But I'm talking about the average joes, the not-ninjas.
And yeah, ninjas would do better. They could adapt. But so could we. Drones, heat detection, sensing devises, etc. The normal people in NV could make these things. And bullets, the most basic component of a soldier's weapon, are basically stronger, faster, deadlier Shuriken. As samurai died out, ninjas most likely will too.

Dont see how a gun gonna stop susanoo, genjutsu, S/Ts, Nature manipulations of huge scales, even basic katon release can be more effective.

Needless to mention that fact ninjas can leap over 10s of metes (fodder ones) have healing, all sorts of body enhancements.

Lets not get started on basic substitutions and bunshins which will empty all the rounds you have neg diff.
