Hey everyone
This is the first entry in what might become a series called Ninja Clash series in which I do my best to depict fights that were mentioned, but never shown directly in the manga. I do take some creative license because it's boring to watch characters use only the moves that they've used before. I hope you enjoy.

-Sasori of the Red Sand vs Sandaime Kazekage-

Location: In the desert surrounding Sunagakure. Nighttime. No one is in earshot. The kazekage is training and maintaining his skills with the Iron Sand; some sand hangs in the air, while a large pool of it lies on the ground, which the kazekage is standing on. Sasori approaches.

Dialogue will be in quotes. Actions will be in italics. Thoughts will be in both parentheses and italics. Spoken jutsu names will be bolded.

Sasori: "Good evening Kazekage-sama."
Kazekage: "Is that… Sasori of the Red Sand! I haven't seen you since the third great war. How are you? Where've you been?"
Sasori: "Traveling to foreign lands… collecting puppets and jutsu… preparing…"
Kazekage: "Preparing for what?"
Sasori: "For today."
Sasori swings his left arm up and chakra strings become visible as the mother and father puppets rise out of the ground. The kazekage jumps in the air, out of the reach of the puppets, but as he reaches the apex of his jump, the mother puppet continues upwards with a serrated katana. The kazekage swings his arm up and at the center of the iron sand cloud that had still been hanging in the air, a platform forms (Iron Suspension Jutsu!) between the mothers katana and the kazekage, while he stands on it. The kazekage lowers the iron sand cloud which was blocking the line of sight between him and Sasori to say:
Kazekage: "What was that for!?"
Sasori: "Oh, don't take it personally. I need you, or, rather, your abilities."
Kazekage: "What's that supposed to mean?"
Sasori: "You'll see."
The mother puppet retreats and drops her katana and charges the kazekage head on with spinning razors kept in compartments inside the palms of its hands.
Kazekage: "You're more than a little foolish to attack my absolute defense with a simple frontal assault."
Two spikes of iron sand form in front of the kazekage; he launches them at the mother puppet. She dodges one; this spike continues on flying until it crashed behind Sasori, forming a large ditch where it landed. The spike then deforms into a pile of iron sand that fills the ditch. The second spike, at the same time collides with the mother puppet, sending it to the ground. However, while the second spike collided with the mother puppet, the mother puppet's katana, controlled by a chakra string, impaled the kazekage from behind.
Sasori: "Hmph. You certainly could take on a single puppet, but as soon as I force you to split your attention, I made quick work of you. That was much too easy."
Kazekage: "Too easy indeed."
What appeared to be the kazekage dissolved into iron sand around the katana (Sasori thinking: Iron Sand Clone?!). At the same time, the real kazekage rises from the pool of iron sand lying on the ground, his body reforming from top down out of iron sand that reassimilates into him.
Kazekage: "Like it? This is my latest jutsu, Iron Decomposition Jutsu. It's a form of the transformation technique, but it takes a lot of chakra to sustain."
The iron sand that deformed around the serrated katana grabs the katana and throws it at Sasori. Sasori jumps backwards and dodges, but accidentally lands in the ditch of iron sand formed from the kazekage's spike. He suddenly begins to sink into the ditch of sand (Iron Swamp Jutsu!); he continues to sink until he's up to his head in sand.
Sasori: "Very impressive. I suppose you'll crush me now?"
Kazekage: "I think I'll take you back to the village for questioning."
Sasori: "Hmm, well I won't be contained so easily. You've seen me control puppets while they're underground, but the reverse is also possible. Even while I'm submerged I'll continue to attack you with my puppets."
Kazekage: "Mmm, I'm sure you will."
Sasori: "Don't underestimate me!"
Sasori struggles for a second in the sand, clearly expecting the mother puppet to get back up and attack the kazekage. However, the puppet's joints are unable to move; the puppets movement overall becomes jerky.
Sasori: "You… clogged it with your sand!?"
Kazekage: "Indeed I did. I have a bit of experience fighting a puppet user as skillful as you and this shuts them down quite quickly. Did I tell you I sparred with your grandmother for the title of kazekage? She used that puppet as well."
Sasori: "You forgot to mention that; And I keep a summoning scroll for this puppet on me. Let me ask you one thing: when did you have time to switch with your iron sand clone and use the Iron Sand Decomposition jutsu?"
Kazekage: "In the very beginning. As I was standing on the platform guarding me from your puppet's katana, I had also left a cloud of sand in the air that blocked your vision from me. So I took the time to switch with my clone quickly and hang back to observe your movements."
Sasori: "Not a wasted second. Very, very impressive. Unfortunately for you, I'm not one to waste time either."
The Sasori that was submerged in the Iron Sand Swamp jutsu puffed up in a cloud of smoke revealing the father puppet in its place. (Kazekage thinking: I was wondering where the other puppet was.) Sasori himself pops up from the sand behind the iron ditch.
Sasori: Puppet transformation jutsu! I altered the puppet to my likeness and controlled the other puppet through it. It uses less chakra than a clone and doesn't disappear as easily. See, I also took advantage of the broken line of sight.
Kazekage: Well I guess not we're back to square one. Except, your first puppet is already disabled and now I've disabled this one while it was submerged in my sand. So what's your next move?
Sasori: "I'm glad you asked."
Sasori pulls out a scroll that produces a female puppet wearing a Hidden Stone village headband
Sasori: "Meet Midoritsuchi, a Lava style user."
