______EDIT AFTER CHAPTER CAME OUT: Was not an explosion (well, a kick explosion maybe) BUT GAI WAS turning to dust, like I said 
YAY. And also madara was damaged almost beyond repair like i said and almost died. Also said naruto would step in (although I didn't really think he could save him but he did )______________
Edit: Apparently the translation I got was stupid and Night Moth is really Night GUY.. My opinion still stands however it being an explosion.
[The following is my own opinion/theory]
-Night Moth will obviously be his last move prior to death.
-It will damage Madara almost beyond repair and Madara will need to do something drastic to recover.
-Gai will die directly related to this attack and very sudden, I believe he will ACTUALLY burn up, read The Moth and the Lamp. And is an obvious reference to like a moth to the flame, it may be a huge explosion ala Vegeta vs Fat buu, and nothing left of Gai but dust.
-Madara will not have time to retaliate against Gai because he will be dead before he can. Leaving Gai one upping him before he leave ^ ^.
-Gai will have successfully bought time for everyone in the alliance(Madara would have already destroyed them all by now without this diversion)
-Naruto and Sasuke arrive shortly before Madara hurts anyone else(possibly stopping an attack and appearing in a cool way/new clothes/outfit etc.)
TLR? Night moth is an explosion that incinerates guy and damages Madara immensely, gai saves alliance by buying time, naruto and sasuke return just in time to finish it.
