Oh how addicting, the scent of blood, the iron pang,
The shining light on the trickling of crimson delight,
Like a magnet to my kind, as I sink my fangs,
Into your neck, the veins visible only to I, a creature of the night.

Struggle all you will, I shall have my feed,
Although it pains me to take from you,
My darling, I must commit this impure deed,
But know that my regret is far from overdue.

Now it is time I take my leave,
For I have what I need, you’re now free,
I’ll escape to my coffin, with all the time to grieve,
The world so cruel, with its laws and rotten decree.

The sun awakes to shine over the lands,
The lonely darkness my only shield,
These pale, white hands,
With a touch of blood, my sorrows are revealed.​
