She's has became the most influential and successful female rapper in history. If you don't like her fine but she has impacted hip hop culture and she deserves credit. She is showing the world a black woman can be just as successful and influential globally than a man

I can agree with this. Nicki really opened the way for female artists to start getting more play, even if they were always around. Beyonce hasn't really opened avenues in the same way.

I'll give her that. She is one of the great female rappers of our time so she's doing a lot for women in hip-hop in that sense.

But my man K-dot is actually preaching a message. He's spitting the truth and trying to make change for the betterment of African-Americans.

Minaj's message isn't necessarily about coming up, managing your money, and systemic oppression, but it's still pretty important in the context of hip hop. Her message is more about females being able to own things that they commonly get criticized for in hip hop (*** and whatever) and being able to enter the medium.

I'd listen to Kendrick over Minaj any day of the week, but I still appreciate what she's doing. For the most part.

Time's People of the Year aren't just positive, but people who have most notably impacted the world in that respective year, or done something that stands out the most, negative or positive. I'm afraid the only ignorance here is yours.

Those aren't positive reasons either. They're literally just political acts that were the most notable of their time. Lack of criticism doesn't mean the presence of praise.

Your notion that being Time's Person of the Year means Time is praising you still remains incorrect.
