well seeing the almost certain falling out between Obito and Madara maybe Madara needs more power if he's going up against Obito and Naruto

This is true, however he can use his Susanoo clones to overwhelm them.
But against Obito's kamui he has no counter. IDK how could he defeat him.

Maybe Obito will trap Madara in the Kamui dimension, that would give the story more time to focus on other things like Sasuke and the out of control Juubi until the event Madara escapes Kamui.

even becoming 10tail jinch wont make madara stronger than so6p.. madara alone has like 0 % changes to beat the 10tails on it's full power.. this 10tail is half powered shell of it's true form and madara is having troubles to control it with obito and both are fused with hashis dna.. madara is pathetic compared to so6p.
