Next Hokage?

Before I start this 'theory', let me make clear that this does not involve Danzou.

Also, this is going on the assumption that Kakashi is dead, and that Tsunade will die at the hands of Pein.


Before Jiraiya left on the mission he'd never return home from, when he went to fight Pein, both he and Tsunade said that while Naruto would become hokage someday, Kakashi would be the obvious current choice for Tsunade's successor.

Now in the recent chapters, it's becoming clearer and clearer than either Kakashi is dead, or that he's just about dead.

Also, Tsunade's the only surviving member of the sannin. That means she's going to be killed off sooner rather than later.

Then, who will become hokage?

Gai's the second most powerful jounin after Kakashi. Taking Kakashi and Naruto out of the picture, Gai is the only one left.

If Kakashi and Tsunade died right at this very moment in the manga and Danzou were taken out of the picture, Gai would become hokage!

lol i will never ever ever ever watch naruto again if this happens but i know it wont happen if tsunade died it would be shikamaru that would become hokage...

Yeah i suppose that Gai would be hokage if Tsunade and Kakashi were dead, but man, the village is gonna be so weird with Gai as Hokage. As a character, he is just so one dimensional.

i don't think so maybe shikamaru to make the disitions and to fight but they would take all of his abilities and make teams to fight them like guy and lee maybe kiba and his mom v.s. pain that does'nt like tyjutstu[forgot his name]

Remember when Sarutobi died () they needed a new Hokage. That's when Tsunade appeared.

Maybe if Tsunade and kakashi died, a new character from Konoha would appear, a character that never is in the village...

Just guessing though...

Gai wouldn't be the most powerful Konohonian after Kakashi and Tsunade die... especially not after Naruto's frog training. I'm not saying Naruto is the most powerful, but Gai definitely isn't.

Shikamaru wouldn't become Hokage. Even if he'd accept the job, they won't give it to him just because he's smart. He'd become the Hokage's elder council guy.

Yeah i think there are probably many more ANBU's much stronger than Gai.

Btw a Hokage that only does taijutsu... Him being a Jounin i can accept but Hokage... no way.

Its true Tsunade did say that Kakashi could be a good Hokage candidate. He's real good ninja but lacks powerful ninjutsu like we have seen from the previous Hokages. I mean he can't even take on Itachi by himself. So does that mean if Itachi were still alive he could just walts right into the Leaf Village and take out the Hokage (Kakashi). No, disrespect but Jam himself said he could take out both Itachi and Kisame at once. So Tsunade did say that but Kakashi's power does not compare to Jman or Tsuande's. I mean I think Naruto has stronger techniques and jutsu's than Kakashi right now. Naruto wouldnt be the next hokage cuz he lacks experience and he needs stronger jutsu.

Anyways, Tsunade isnt going to die anytime soon, so there's no need to be thinking about the next Hokage yet. I dont see where Kishi would go with the story if he were to kill off Tsunade, I would think they would have a weak Hokage.

I don't think that what he lacks are powerfull ninjutsu, since he has copied over 1000 tecniques. He lacks in chakra, which doesn't give him the freedom to perform them as much as he wants.

Naruto isn't stronger than kakashi in jutsu level. How can you say that if Kakashi knows more than 1000 jutsus. Naruto's massive amount of Chakra is what makes him stronger.

Don't get me wrong, Naruto's better than Kakashi in my view.

I ran off with it and never mentioned it. But look at the previous Hokages and what you know about them, all the cool jutsus they could do. If Kakashi were to try one of those jutsus that would be pretty much his limit LOL He is still a cool ninja. I think as of now Naruto has stronger jutsu's than Kakashi. If Naruto and Kakashi had the same chakra, Kakashi would definetly win. He can perform any jutsu he copies, he just can't do them many times. Kakashi has a better jutsu arsenal, Naruto has 5 times more chakra.

I know that Kakashi has low chakra, compared to a Nine tails jinchuuriki. I think you exagerated a bit when you talked about his chakra reserves, saying that if he did one the Hokage's jutsu's that would be his limit.

And Naruto is no "dumbass", i can assure you that. But i don't wanna start this discussion whether he is a genius or not but while in battle he easily comes up with nice strategies, learned Rasengan in 3 days, etc....

Meh, the ANBU are mostly weak in my opinion.
A jounin is a step up from ANBU.


Also, in Kakashi and Gai's rivalry thing, they're about tied in number of events won, I think.





Also, in response to the hokage who only does taijutsu comment, I'd like to point out that Tsunade's mainly taijutsu. After that she's only got healing jutsus.

And Guy also knows ninjutsu. He used a ninjutsu to summon a turtle one time. xD
