Naruto is old enough to take the title hokage only because he has come along way,
and has matured greatly.

I vote naruto because i believe after the war he really deserves it with all that he has done
to help out to........nuff said really XD

definetly slack on the paperwork if u think TNJ makes u a great leader then thats sad. maybe in 7 mor eyears where his maturity increases some more

also his reign as hokage would be short

because naruto has shortened his own life span 2 or 3 times

I'd say Kakashi. Also I have a suspicion Naruto is destined for something bigger.... maybe the first Kage of the Shinobi Alliance. I see a new political union being formed after the war. I have a feeling Naruto will be the mediator/peace keeper.

Also... even if using the Kyubii chakra before he made a bond with Kurama shortened his life... He's an Uzumaki... blessed with long life and a strong life force, so that cancels that out!

But i think that the best Hokage would be Itachi..if he was still alive...the perfect Hokage!

i dnno how ppl can say Naruto so early, his character hasnt rounded enough to be Kage yet

isnt it clear? Kishi although the massive power boosts is slowly turning Naruto into a leader, so far he is still just the fighter

for the plots sake if Kishi goes with his promise to extend naruto, i hope Tsunade dies, and Kakashi or Shika becomes Kage

But then the introduction of Hashi shows that its in progress

I don't see why you think that, Shikamaru has less chance than Naruto since it's not all about being smart, the Hokage is a person who everyone trusts to lead them and be the one leading an army into battle and someone who is beacon of hope to the people of Konoha...and you think Shikamaru is that purely because his IQ is high, please if that was the case Shikaku would of been picked over Tsunade.

Kakashi maybe, but it's likely to be Naruto after the war.
