マダラとの死闘を続ける五影たちは、その圧倒的パワーに苦戦するも力を合わせマダラを封印へと追いつめる。しかしマダラは山ほども巨大な“完成体須佐能乎（スサノオ）”を発動し、逆に五影たちを絶望へと追い込むのだった。一方、カブトにイザナミをかけて動きを止めることに成功したイタチは、ついに穢土転生の術を解く印を発動させる。それは同時に穢土転生体であるイタチ自身が消えることを意味し、サスケとの別れの前にイタチは真実と自分の想いを語り始める。
