Can you for a minute imagine... if back when goku originally went supersaiyan, it was blue to begin with? black in base form, spiked up and blue in super saiyan.

Super saiyan 2 and 3 blue as well.

This seems strange, but there's a neat implication here. Now imagine if when he went super saiyan god super saiyan in fukkatsu no f it THAT was gold. So instead of going from gold to blue, if it went from blue to gold? How kickass would that have been/

Yes indeed it would've made more sense, but Akira Toriyama likely intended for SSJ to be the pinnacle of a Saiyans power & allegedly wanted to end the series after Frieza Arc, and then again after Cell Arc, and finally did end his series after Buu. So SSJ God was by far never even fathomed when he first introduced SSJ.

So cooler? yes, but anticipated by anyone at the time of its original conception? No.

^ I replied. I also feel SSJ2 should have more definable features to differentiate it from SSJ the simple lightning aura wasn't enough, especially in the manga.
