there's something that has my interest in the latest chapter. the fact that the five elders not only LET SHANKS IN, but also told their soldiers to gtfo. This already makes it clear they 1. don't believe Shanks would kill them, and that leads to 2., that 1 can only be a thing if they aren't the real enemies. And if they aren't allied to an extent, shouldn't they prepare for the off chance that Shanks is willing to attack? Does this mean that they may be strong enough to fend off a yonko?

Or does this mean that the best of the best celestial dragons themselves are also supportive of Luffy's future or at least neutral to it rather than fearful?

Who know, I think we are not gonna know in the next chapters. Oda would leave this like it never happened and then something would happen and we will have a flashback of this.
