Try to fix the avatar when you get home insteead, since you'll be able to use services like 'tinypic.com', which allows you to minimize your image to the correct sizes(avatar size: 100x75) as described in the FAQ etc. Either way, read the rules and browse the FAQ, and if you still don't understand, ask someone on their profile.
