[Question] New to One Piece

Sup guys recently I started reading/watching One Piece. I am currently only at the Luffy vs Enel fight, however Ive watched many random fights/scenes on youtube (the temptation is too much!) and I have a simple question that Im almost positive is common knowledge among hardcore OP fans. So via youtube Ive realized Blackbeard now has the powers of two devil fruits. My question is, is it possible for two people to have the same devils fruit abilities at the same time? I know there may only be one of each type of devil fruit at a time, and that one bite takes all the power out of it, but for example could someone find another gomu gomu fruit while luffy is still alive? I dont know the exact timeline for when/how Blackbeard acquired them both but I assume he didnt obtain the tremor fruit until after Whitebeard died. Thanks and dont hate on me for being a One Piece noob xD

No, only one can have a devil fruit. Unless he consumed Yomi Yomi no mi first.

No is not possible to find the gomu gomu fruit since luffy is alive, but if he dies the fruit will grow again.

Cool cool thanks guys so blackbeard didnt obtain it until after Whitebeards death, it just seemed in the videos like he had Whitebeards ability almost directly after his death so I was confused. I guess i should just be patient and figure if out haha.

He kinda did get it right after...... People still speculate on how it was done since it hasn't directly said how he did it. All we know is Black Beard is special and the Yomi Yomi no Mi is involved with it somehow. Of course you won't know any of this till a few hundred episodes from where you are currently.

Nah, you can only possess one devil fruit at a time unless the user of the devil fruit dies, another cannot have it. So that brings me to your 2nd question about Blackbeard. Yeah the bastard got Whitbeards' devil fruit at the end of the war after killing him.

His the 1st to ever do such a thing, we don't know exactly how he did so yeah only he so far is capable of having 2 devil fruits at the same time. Anyone else, would just die.
