I said Shinki would lose to Sage Mode Mitsuki. But base Mitsuki would lose to Shinki. The fact Orochimaru told Mitsuki to hide his true powers foreshadowes Mitsuki's loss.

Shinki's featless right now and I highly doubt he's gonna show anything strong enough to give sage mode Mitsuki any trouble.
I personally believe that base Mitsuki could take him out too if he had the intents to kill him.

I see it. Shinki is clearly an Archetype of Gaara's but that doesn't mean Mitsuki isn't a savage, which by feats he is. Don't forget that he is already nerfed like Salamander pointed out.

This somehow reminds of those versus threads that start with..

"Adult Sasuke vs Adult Naruto - Restrictions: Sasuke can't use Sharingan neither his Rinnegan".

So we have..

"Mitsuki vs Shinki - Restrictions: Mitsuki can't go all out and use SM".

Edit: With Mitsuki we also have the parallel of a lightning user going against a Hidden Sand fighter (Sasuke vs Gaara).

Wasn’t shinki told to hold back as well? I don’t recall tbh. I don’t think mitsukis gonna completely hold back, I think he’ll use something he’s not supposed to. They gotta make the fight good. That being said, how in control of sm is mitsuki? He was only able to maintain it for about 5 seconds in gaiden, one would assume he could do it for longer now, but how much. I personally think they matched them up for a specific reason, I think both can wipe the floor with the rest of their respective villages genin

I guess you are right. SM Mitsuki would beat Shinki easily but that's because his speed and strength feats are quite powerful while in SM. But Base vs Base kinda goes to Shinki in my opinio, we will see in 4 weeks ^^

Possibly? I would be surprised if he doesn't because he's been keeping tabs on Oro and he should have done a background check on Mitsuki when he learnt that Oro's kid was entering into the Academy

You don’t understand the hype? Mitsuki is a master swordsmen, chakra monster, master of two elemental affinities and to top it off he has untapped senjutsu power.

Unrestricted Mitsuki could probably take a kage even if he loses.

Lol yeah I want Shinki to win and the thing with Oro telling Mitsuki to 'hold back' seems to be the writers giving an explanation for his loss beforehand. I highly doubt Shinki's going to lose unless Mitsuki goes against Oro's words and uses SM. But even if that happens, losing to a synthetic human wouldn't even be a disservice to Shinki as long as he puts up a good fight, which he will
