Logically getting with Karin would be disrespectful towards Sakura,and to some people it could take away from his character.

In chapter 699 he did tell Sakura that be would he with her when he came back from his journey, so if he got with Karin while he was gone then he basically broke his word, which is out of character.

None theless, pairings shouldn't take away from the characters. It's not like it's a main point of the story. No need for anyone to take it seriously.
