Basilisk = a true ninja anime compared to Naruto and unlike Naruto it is truly a love story too, but thanks to the fights and the story it is very enjoyable. However, if you dislike Nana Mizuki...

Monster = the best anime ever existed, but this is not a shonen/fightning anime, so if you don't like criminal stories or thrillers then.

Midori Day = a cute love story

Definitely watch Black Lagoon Revvy is a badass lol probably one of the best anime's I have watched so far every episode is action packed also watch both seasons

FMA(brotherhood) since it follows the manga more closely.
Deadman Wonderland - this had the potential to be something spectacular, but it ended to quickly still worth a watch though.

No he shouldn't. Kingdom is a great manga he should read it, but the anime looks terrible.

I'm surprised nobody said Cowboy bebop, one of the best of 3 anime ever made.
